The CEO of the Department for Health and Wellbeing, Chris McGowan, approved the establishment of a Statewide Patient-Reported Measures Program, which The CEIH will lead over the next three years.

The Minister for Health and Wellbeing, the Hon. Stephen Wade made a press release in April 2021 publicly endorsing the program.

The new program will support the routine collection, measurement and timely reporting of patient-reported outcome and experience measures across our systems and directly to clinicians so that they are able to provide the best care to patients.

Following strong collaboration between consumer and clinician representatives to develop the business case, the project is now moving onto the planning stage where the program will be co-designed with consumers and clinicians ensuring it is truly a patient-centred and integrated system.

It is expected that the program will be fully implemented across South Australia by the end of the 2023 – 24 financial year.
