Q&A with Sharyn

What interested you about patient reported measures research and/or projects?

The ability for patient reported information to drive change in the safe and efficient delivery of healthcare systems and processes in a way that is acceptable to all parties.

What is your biggest achievement in relation to patient reported measures research, or the application of research into practice?

Still early days in my organisation — looking more at experience than outcome measures at this point.

How do you approach collaboration with consumers, carers and community? Or how do think we can work together to keep making advancements in this space?

I think we need to understand how informative and valuable the consumer/carer/community voice is in improving our approach to healthcare. Equal status around the table’ from the beginning; true co-design principle.
