We’re seeking clinicians’ insights on a proposed generic PROM (Patient Reported Outcome Measures), a vital step in advancing patient centred care in clinical settings across South Australia.
PROMs are psychometrically validated surveys which assist to understand a patient’s perspective on quality of life. Generic PROMs can be used at a patient, clinician, and population level. The PROMIS-29 is a short, easy-to-complete survey that measures patients’ overall health and well-being outcomes. It serves as a standalone tool or can be integrated with other condition-specific PROMs to provide a more holistic view of a patient’s health status. It is applicable for consumers over the age of 18 years.
