A new program in partnership with The Clinician will improve how patients report on their health-related quality of life and their experiences receiving care in SA Health services, to better shape the future of our health system.

The CEIH has been leading South Australia’s efforts to introduce a state-wide Patient Reported Measures’ (PRMs) program, centred around people’s own perceptions of the impact of their health condition, their health goals and associated outcomes, their experiences of the health system and their care.

Using The Clinician’s innovative digital platform ZEDOC, South Australians will be asked about their healthcare outcomes and experiences with their responses collected, rapidly analysed and used to inform clinical decision making.

Megan Scott, Director of the CEIH Patient Reported Measures Program, said The introduction of real time visibility of patient reported measures has been proven to enhance patient and clinician partnerships through improved decision making, and delivers healthcare that is driven by patient values.

The Clinician is a New Zealand based digital healthcare company with large scale experience in PRM systems, including providing solutions for Singapore’s Public Health System and Israel’s Clalit Health Services.

The rollout will begin this year with pilots in selected SA Health services, with further stages to be designed in collaboration with SA Health Local Health Networks.
